Flori / Connections
A project and task manager for Codex
Use agentic project management with Codex to carry the plan between coding sessions. Flori provides project management for AI agents, with tasks, review criteria and saved results you can check.
Codex can find tasks, read project context and save the updates you allow. These steps are for the Codex command-line app on your computer. Other versions may have different setup steps.
Connect Codex
- Create or sign in to your Flori workspace.
- In Flori, open Settings → Connections. Under Codex, choose Connect to copy the setup command. Paste and run it in your terminal.
- Complete Flori sign-in in the browser. Choose the workspace or project and review the access you want to allow.
- Start a Codex session with Flori enabled and ask it to find your tasks due this week.
Use the command copied by Flori so the connection address and sign-in settings stay together. See the official OpenAI connection guide for advanced setup.
At Flori sign-in, choose the workspace or project you want to share and review the access level. Read-only access lets the assistant find and summarize work; update access lets it save changes. You can revoke the connection in Flori. Your assistant’s usual tool approvals still apply.
Check the connection
Ask: “Read my Flori workflow preference, then find my tasks due this week.” You should see your own tasks, or an empty result if you have none. Then ask it to read one project’s brief and next steps. For an update test, ask it to create a clearly named test task and check that task in Flori.
Keep work updated
Enable Keep work updated in Flori’s assistant settings and give the assistant update access. Use the standing instruction provided there. Confirm progress in Saved from your assistants or Agent activity. A connected badge alone does not prove anything was saved.
Optional progress checks
The coding setup package can check shared context when work starts and look for missing saves when it ends. Follow the included README and approve its checks in your app. Use it instead of a second Flori package. Existing sessions may need a refresh.
Confirm a real save in Flori. Installing a package alone does not prove that automatic updates are working.
What the copied command does
Flori copies a command that adds its connection address and starts sign-in. Paste it into the terminal where you run Codex, then finish sign-in in your browser. Your Codex account and its usage terms are separate.
The OpenAI connection guide explains how to add a service and sign in. Check it if your installed version uses different steps.
If the terminal says an option is unknown, check your installed Codex version against the official guide. If a connection named Flori already exists, inspect its address before adding it again. After changing access, start a fresh session so it can load the new connection state.
Verify a completed coding task
- Create a small Flori task describing a change you can review, with its repository link and completion criteria.
- Ask Codex to read the task before it works and reserve the matching task so another assistant does not duplicate it.
- After implementation, ask it to save the result, test evidence, blockers and next step. A draft change awaiting your review should say so.
- Open the task and Saved from your assistants in Flori. Check the saved result before marking it done or continuing elsewhere.
The coding package can check for a missing update when work ends, after you install and approve its checks. Connecting Flori alone does not enable them. If you also use Codex in the cloud, check its setup separately and confirm a save after the first work session.
