A HubSpot alternative for small teams that sell and deliver

By the Flori team · Published · Updated

Short answer: stay on HubSpot if you need a full marketing and sales platform: email marketing, sequences, calling, forecasting and a large app marketplace. Look at Flori if you are a small team that mostly needs a clear pipeline, then a place to deliver the work after the deal closes, without paying per seat for sales tiers or buying credits for AI.

As of October 2026. HubSpot details are limited to the sources linked below and can change. Written by Flori, not an independent review.

When is HubSpot a better choice than Flori?

HubSpot suits teams running marketing and sales at volume.

HubSpot is a serious platform, and for teams that run marketing and sales at volume it is often the right call. Its Sales Hub pricing shows what comes with each tier: Starter includes calling minutes, up to 15 pipelines and up to 50 workflows; Professional adds sequences, forecasting, playbooks, custom reporting and up to 300 workflows; Enterprise adds deal splits, pipeline approvals and a sandbox.

There is a real free option. HubSpot's free tools are free for up to 2 users with no credit card. HubSpot also has official AI connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, built on its remote MCP server, so you can ask your own assistant about your pipeline. If you need marketing email, landing pages, live chat, calling and sequences in one system, Flori does not offer those.

Where does HubSpot create friction for small teams?

HubSpot's higher per-seat tiers and onboarding fees can add up for small teams.

1. Paid tiers add up per seat. On the Sales Hub pricing page, Starter is shown from $7 per seat per month, with $20 per seat also listed depending on the billing option, and the free tools page labels Starter pricing as a limited-time offer for new customers. Professional starts at $90 per seat per month with an annual commitment, plus a required one-time Professional Onboarding fee of $1,500. Enterprise starts at $150 per seat with a $3,500 onboarding fee. For a five-person team that wants sequences or forecasting, the jump from Starter to Professional is large.

2. AI is metered. Starter includes 500 HubSpot Credits, Professional 3,000 and Enterprise 5,000, per the pricing page. Credits are used when AI agents and features take action. Most small teams already pay for ChatGPT or Claude, so this is a second AI budget.

3. The work after the deal lives elsewhere. HubSpot is built to win and service customers. When a deal closes, a small agency or studio still needs projects, tasks, dependencies and client approvals, and that usually means another tool, another login and a manual handoff.

How does Flori handle client work compared with HubSpot?

Flori keeps a small sales CRM beside the projects that deliver the work.

Flori keeps the sales side deliberately small and puts the delivery side next to it.

Who should keep using HubSpot?

HubSpot remains the better fit for teams that rely on marketing email, landing pages, live chat or calling, sales teams that need sequences and forecasting, and small teams happy on its free tools.

Who should try Flori as a HubSpot alternative?

Agencies, consultancies and studios where the same people sell and deliver should try Flori as a HubSpot alternative.

A fair one-week trial

  1. Pick a small slice of your HubSpot deals (ten open deals is enough) and add those accounts and deals to Flori.
  2. Take one deal that just closed and create its project in Flori, or start from the client onboarding template.
  3. Connect the assistant you already use, with update access to that project only. Ask it to turn the deal notes into tasks with dependencies.
  4. Run delivery for that client in Flori for a week and publish a client page.
  5. Compare the handoff: how much did you re-type when a deal became a project, and how many tools did you open each day?

If you end up updating the same deal in both places, stop and decide which tool owns the pipeline.
