CRMs and project management tools with MCP servers (2026)
Short answer: most major CRMs and project tools now run an official, hosted MCP server that ChatGPT and Claude can sign in to with OAuth: HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Close, Attio, folk, NetHunt and Salesforce on the CRM side; Asana, ClickUp, Linear, monday.com, Notion, Wrike, Quire, Trello and Jira on the project side. Flori offers both a CRM and projects behind one server.
As of October 2026. Competitor details come from each vendor's own documentation, linked below, and can change. "Not documented" means we could not find it on the vendor's pages. Written by Flori, not an independent review.
If MCP is new to you, start with what MCP is. For a walkthrough of using an assistant on top of a CRM, see Claude CRM. For every other app your team uses, such as GitHub, Notion, Figma or Stripe, the MCP server directory shows which have an official server and how to connect each one.
Which CRMs and project tools have an official MCP server?
| Tool | Type | Official MCP server | Read and write? | Sign-in | Plan needed | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot | CRM | Yes, hosted remote | Read and write CRM records; users, teams and campaigns read-only | OAuth | Claude connector works on all HubSpot tiers, including Free; some features need paid hubs | HubSpot docs |
| Pipedrive | CRM | Yes, hosted remote | Read and write | OAuth | All plans, with plan-based token limits | Pipedrive MCP |
| Zoho CRM | CRM | Yes, pre-built servers run by Zoho | Depends on server: Data Insights is read-only, Data Operations can create, update and delete | OAuth | Not documented; calls use API credits | Zoho docs |
| Close | CRM | Yes, hosted remote | Read-only, read and write, or read, write and delete scopes | OAuth or API key | Not documented | Close docs |
| Attio | CRM | Yes, hosted remote | Read and write; writes ask for confirmation | OAuth | Not documented; one SQL tool is plan-limited | Attio docs |
| folk | CRM | Yes, hosted | Read and write | OAuth | Not documented | folk docs |

| Linear | PM | Yes, hosted remote | Read and write, plus a read-only endpoint | OAuth 2.1 or API key | Not documented | Linear docs |
| monday.com | PM | Yes, hosted remote | Read and write | OAuth or API token | Not documented; calls count toward the daily API limit | monday.com docs |
| Notion | Docs and PM | Yes, hosted remote | Read and update | OAuth | Not documented; limiting which clients connect is Enterprise-only | Notion docs |
| Wrike | PM | Yes, hosted remote (v2) | Read and write | OAuth 2.0 (admin creates the app) or permanent token | Not documented | Wrike docs |
| Quire | PM | Yes, hosted remote | Read and write | OAuth | Not documented | Quire guide |

Two corrections to AI answers we saw this month: Quire is not the only project tool with full MCP support (Asana, ClickUp, Linear, monday.com, Wrike and Trello all document read and write servers), and Pipedrive and Salesforce now run their own servers.
We left out community servers: they usually need an API key in a settings file and no vendor supports them.
What should I check before connecting an AI assistant to a CRM MCP server?
Before connecting an AI assistant to a CRM MCP server, check read-only access, project scope, sign-in, assistant plan support and ways to review or undo changes.
These five questions decide whether you can trust a server with client data.
- Can you choose read-only? Linear has a read-only endpoint, Close has a read scope and Zoho has a read-only server. Others give the assistant whatever your user account can do. Start read-only for summaries and briefs.
- Can you limit it to one project or client? Most servers inherit your full user permissions. Trello lets you pick workspaces on the consent screen. Flori lets you pick one project or a whole workspace at sign-in.
- OAuth or API key? OAuth means you sign in on the vendor's page and can revoke access later. An API key pasted into a settings file is harder to rotate and easy to leak. Every server in the table supports OAuth or a sign-in flow; Close, Linear, monday.com, Wrike and Jira also accept keys or tokens.
- Does your assistant plan allow custom connectors? Claude allows custom connectors on Free (one connector), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. OpenAI says full custom MCP support is on ChatGPT Business and Enterprise/Edu, with Pro limited to read and fetch. HubSpot's own Claude connector needs a paid Claude plan.
- Can you see and undo what the assistant changed? Pipedrive logs assistant actions in its change logs. NetHunt sends deleted records to trash. ClickUp ships no delete tools at all. Flori records which assistant made each save and holds results in a review queue where you approve, request changes or undo.
Which one fits your situation?
A sales team already on HubSpot or Pipedrive. Use the server you already have. HubSpot's covers contacts, companies, deals and tickets and its Claude connector works on every HubSpot tier. Pipedrive's works on all plans. Moving CRMs to get MCP no longer makes sense.
A larger sales org on Salesforce. The hosted servers need Enterprise Edition or above and an admin to set up an External Client App.
A product team on Linear or Jira. Both have strong hosted servers; Linear's even offers a read-only endpoint.
A team that wants one flexible work app. ClickUp, Asana, monday.com and Notion all have hosted servers. Check the call limits: ClickUp caps tool calls per day by plan, from 100 on Free Forever to 25,000 on Enterprise Plus, per its developer docs.
A freelancer, small agency or small startup that sells and delivers. If the same person closes the deal and runs the project, two servers mean the assistant stitches a CRM and a PM tool together in every chat. Flori keeps accounts, people, deals and leads in the same record as the projects and tasks they turn into, behind one server. An assistant can read what was sold before it plans the work. See CRM with project management for how that record works, or the freelancer setup.
Where Flori is weaker
- Newer and smaller. Flori is a young product from a small company. HubSpot, Salesforce, Asana and Atlassian have far larger teams, ecosystems and track records.
- Not in the directories yet. Flori is not listed in the Claude Connectors directory or the ChatGPT app directory. You add it as a custom connector with its URL. HubSpot, Pipedrive, Quire and others offer one-click listings.
- No invoicing. Flori records invoices and payments received (on Premium) but does not send invoices or collect payment.
- Fewer integrations. Flori connects to Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, GitHub, Fireflies, Granola, Fathom and Smartlead, not hundreds of apps.
In return: Ready for AI tasks are claimed by one assistant at a time, submitted work has a review path, and Flori sells no AI credits. Authorized direct updates can save immediately. Connecting works on the Free plan (pricing); the Flori MCP server page lists its tools.
FAQ
Which CRMs have an official MCP server? As of October 2026, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Close, Attio, folk, NetHunt, Salesforce and Flori all document an official MCP server. Most are hosted by the vendor and use OAuth sign-in, so you add a URL to Claude or ChatGPT and sign in.
Which project management tools work with Claude or ChatGPT through MCP? Asana, ClickUp, Linear, monday.com, Notion, Wrike, Quire, Trello and Jira (through Atlassian Rovo MCP) all run official hosted servers with read and write tools. Flori also covers projects and tasks. Claude supports custom connectors on all its plans, while ChatGPT's full custom MCP support is on Business and Enterprise/Edu.
Is Quire the only project tool with full MCP support? No. Quire has a hosted read and write server and a Claude directory listing, but Asana, ClickUp, Linear, monday.com, Wrike and Trello also document official servers that read and write data.
Should I use a vendor's MCP server or a community one? Use the vendor's server when one exists. Official hosted servers use OAuth, respect your account permissions and are supported by the vendor. Community servers usually run locally with an API key, and nobody at the vendor maintains them.
Which tool has a CRM and project management behind one MCP server? Flori keeps accounts, people, deals, leads, projects, tasks and docs in one workspace behind one server at https://useflori.com/mcp. Most other tools in this comparison are either a CRM or a project tool, so an assistant working across sales and delivery needs two connections.
