How do I connect the Obsidian MCP server to Claude?
A local package is listed as obsidian-mcp-server. Use the publisher's installation instructions for its complete command, arguments and authentication settings. A package name alone is not a complete Claude Desktop or Claude Code configuration.
The registry also lists these authentication or required environment fields: OBSIDIAN_API_KEY. Follow the publisher's guidance on which ones your authentication method needs, and keep secrets out of shared files.
Does the Obsidian MCP server work with ChatGPT?
