A Pipedrive alternative for teams whose real work starts after the deal

By the Flori team · Published · Updated

Short answer: stay on Pipedrive if selling is the main job and you want one of the cleanest pipeline tools available, with email sync, sequences, a scheduler and contracts on the higher plans. Look at Flori if the pipeline is fine but delivery is not: once a deal is won, the work, the client updates and your AI assistant's output need to live in the same place as the customer.

When is Pipedrive a better choice than Flori?

Pipedrive suits teams focused on sales pipelines, email follow-ups and deal management.

Pipedrive is a strong sales tool and it is honest about its focus. Its pricing page lists four plans, per seat per month billed annually: Lite at $14, Growth at $39, Premium at $59 and Ultimate at $79, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card. Lite includes pipeline management, AI report creation, 500+ integrations and meeting intelligence. Growth adds full email sync with tracking, automations and sequences, and a meeting scheduler. Premium adds LeadBooster lead generation, scoring and company enrichment, and quotes, proposals and contracts with built-in e-signatures.

Pipedrive also publishes an official MCP server and is listed as a connector in Claude and ChatGPT, so your assistant can search deals, update records and move opportunities. If your team lives in its pipeline all day and needs sequences, e-signatures or lead routing, Pipedrive does that and Flori does not.

Where does Pipedrive create friction for small teams?

Pipedrive makes project delivery a separate seat decision on lower plans, keeps its best sales tools on higher plans, and lets assistants reach the CRM but not the delivery work.

1. Delivery is a separate seat decision. Pipedrive now has Projects, with task dependencies, Gantt timelines in beta and AI-generated project briefs from deal context. That is a real step. But its billing article says that on Lite and Growth, Projects is a paid add-on priced per seat, and only users assigned a project seat can create or edit projects. It is included for everyone on Premium and Ultimate. For a small team on Growth, delivery becomes another line item to manage.

2. The best sales tools sit on higher plans. Contracts with e-signatures, lead routing and company enrichment start at Premium, $59 per seat per month billed annually, per the pricing page. A team that only wanted Projects for everyone ends up paying for the full sales toolkit.

3. Assistants reach the CRM, not the work. Pipedrive's connector lets an assistant query and update deals, contacts and activities. That is useful for sales admin. It does not give the assistant a delivery plan to work through, a way to reserve a task so two assistants do not duplicate it, or a queue where you approve results before they count.

How does Flori handle client work compared with Pipedrive?

Flori keeps client deals and delivery projects in the same workspace.

Flori treats closed-won as the middle of the story, not the end.

Who should keep using Pipedrive?

Sales-led teams that spend most of the day working deals should stay on Pipedrive.

Who should try Flori as a Pipedrive alternative?

Agencies, consultants and studios where the same people sell and deliver should try Flori as a Pipedrive alternative.

A fair one-week trial

  1. Keep Pipedrive running for sales. Do not move the pipeline during the trial.
  2. Take one deal that closed this week and create its project in Flori, or start from the client onboarding template. Add the account and deal so the project has its customer context.
  3. Connect the assistant you already use, with update access to that project only. Ask it to plan the deliverables as tasks with dependencies and mark draftable ones Ready for AI.
  4. Review the assistant's output in the review queue and publish a client page for the customer.
  5. At the end of the week, compare: what did you re-type between the won deal and the project, and who on the team could see the delivery plan?

If the customer record drifts between the two tools, stop and decide which one owns it.
