A Dubsado alternative for the delivery work after booking
Short answer: keep Dubsado if forms, contracts, invoices, scheduling and client workflows are doing the job you need. Evaluate Flori when the unresolved problem is coordinating delivery tasks and keeping client decisions available to your team and assistants. Flori does not perform the contract and payment functions that make Dubsado useful.
As of October 2026. Written by Flori. Official sources checked October 29; no hands-on Dubsado trial is claimed.
Separate client admin from delivery requirements
Dubsado's published plans are Starter at $335 per year and Premier at $525 per year in USD. Both list projects, clients, invoicing, forms and client portals. Premier adds scheduling and automated workflows. The page includes three additional users before paid user tiers; check the precise team and brand requirements for your account.
Flori Core costs $120 per person billed yearly, or $12 per person monthly. For three internal people, that is $360 per year or $36 monthly, before tax and separate assistant subscriptions. Flori does not send invoices, collect payment, provide e-signatures or supply booking pages. Compare the total cost of keeping those functions elsewhere, not just the Flori subscription.
| A requirement you cannot lose | Decision before moving |
|---|---|
| Signed contracts and payment plans | Keep the system that performs and retains them |
| Scheduled client emails or form sequences | Inventory every trigger and action; a Flori project template does not recreate them |
| Client portal history | Preserve the old documents and decide where the client should look next |
| Delivery dependencies and review decisions | Test the exact process in your current tool and in Flori |
| External assistant access | Verify the available connector and operations; absence from a pricing page is not proof of no integration |
Trial the moment a client asks for extra work
A useful test is not merely creating a task. In our fictional Juniper website job, the agreement covers five pages and two revision rounds. After the first draft, Rowan asks for a sixth page. Alex must preserve the original scope, record the request and obtain a decision about cost and timing. Casey still owns the missing content input.
In the worked example, the extra page is deferred to a separate quote. The delivery board must not quietly treat it as approved work. Ask an assistant to summarize the current scope and check that it identifies the deferred request, missing input and next owner. This is an exercise to run, not a reported customer outcome.
If that test works well in your current Dubsado process, keep it. If you try Flori, create and link the account, project and tasks explicitly. A won deal or imported CSV does not automatically reproduce your workflow, project tasks or signed agreement.
Know what runs and who approves it
A Flori task with a due date does not send a client email. A recurring task is not a Dubsado workflow replacement. Premium's configured workflows support their documented actions, while an assistant connection works through the tools and permissions you grant. Verify any proposed replacement step by step.
Begin with a read-only assistant for recaps and drafts. When changing records, distinguish a proposed task or submitted result from an authorized direct update, which can save immediately. Client publication is separate. The onboarding guide shows manual, assistant-assisted, recurring and configured actions without treating them as interchangeable.
Migrate the smallest useful slice
Keep Dubsado available for active contracts, invoices, payment status, files and automation. Start a separate delivery trial using the comparison worksheet. Record what was manually copied and who owns each system. Make it clear to the client where new delivery approvals will appear.
The sample CRM import can help test Flori's account, person and deal fields. It is not a native Dubsado export and does not migrate forms, workflows, attachments or financial history. Reconcile the complete process before cancelling a source system.
FAQ
Does a Flori template replace Dubsado workflows? No. A project template creates an editable copy of tasks and guidance. It does not recreate a sequence of client emails, forms, contracts or payments.
Does Flori support the money side of the engagement? Flori does not send invoices or collect payment. Premium can record invoices and payments received, which is different from billing or processing them.
What is a good reason to add Flori? A tested improvement in delivery ownership, retained decisions or assistant-supported project work that outweighs the extra handoff and cost. Merely having another board is not enough.
